 Women and the AICW: 30 Years of Writing
To mark the 30th anniversary of the Association of Italian Canadian Writers (AICW), editors Delia De Santis and Venera Fazio present the volume Exploring Voice and discuss women’s contribution to Italian Canadian literature.  With Licia Canton, Delia De Santis, Mary Di Michele, Giulia De Gasperi, Venera Fazio, Connie Guzzo-McParland, Maria Luisa Ierfino. Hosted by Marianna Simeone.

Meet the Authors and Publishers

Writer, poet and publisher Michael Mirolla will discuss with other Montreal publishers and published authors the ins and outs of book publishing today, and will answer questions on topics of interest related to literary production. Topics to be discussed: how to submit manuscripts, e-books, digital publishing, self-publishing, translations.

August 14-16, 2015 – Book signings, short readings and chats with individual authors under the tent. AICW-Guernica Tent, Little Italy, Montreal. Participating authors will sign their books, read short passages from their books, and interact with the passing public.

August 16, 2015, 2:00-3:00 pm – Open Mike / Poetry reading.

This event is open to the general public, for anyone who wants to share their poetry, in French, English, Italian or in dialect.

Registration in advance by email is recommended: info@guernicaeditions.com. One may also register at the AICW-Guernica Tent from Friday evening ‘til Sunday morning, on a first-come-first-served basis. Reading time for each participant will depend on the number of participants.
