Licia Canton is an author, editor, (self)translator and mentor. Her writing has been anthologized internationally in English, French, Chinese, Italian and Venetian dialect. She is the author of The Pink House and Other Stories (2018) and Almond Wine and Fertility (2008; 2018), published in Italy as Vino alla mandorla e fertilità (2015). She is the founding editor-in-chief of Accenti Magazine. She mentors emerging writers through the Quebec Writers' Federation (QWF). She has been a guest author and keynote speaker at universities and literary events in Canada and abroad. She has served on the board of the QWF and on the executive of the AICW (president 2010-14, 2021-22). She was an Honorary Fellow in Translation (2018-2021) at the University of Hull, U.K. In 2019, Licia Canton was Visiting Professor and Writer-in-Residence at the University of Calabria. She was Emilio Goggio Research Fellow (2021-2022) in Italian-Canadian Studies at the University of Toronto. She is the recipient of the Italy in the World Prize/Premio Italia nel Mondo 2018. She holds a Ph.D. from Université de Montréal and an M.A. from McGill University. She lives in Montreal. www.accenti.ca
